Soft Close: The auction program has a soft close feature designed to stagger the close of each lot by 10 seconds. However, if a bid is received within 2 minutes from the closing time, that particular lot is extended an additional 2 minutes. This action will repeat itself until bidding has ceased for at least 2 minutes. This provides bidders with a true auction method and not last second sniping as seen on other sites like ebay.
Auction Preview: Wednesday, October 27th Noon - 5p, and Saturday October 30th Noon - 5p, or by appointment only. Call Ales Auction Services @ 309/242-0617 to set an appointment. If you submit a bid without attending a preview, you agree and accept the posted photo(s) as your preview. The buyer relies exclusively on their pre - auction inspection and all lots are sold with all faults and defects within. The location of the auction is 1345 County Road 2250E, Roanoke, Illinois.
Registration: You must register online to bid in this auction. Follow the simple steps on the auction site to register. If you do not have internet capabilities, call between 8a CST and 8p CST for assistance. If unknown to Ales Auction Services, ALL BIDDERS with less than a 6 HiBid score, or have been a registered Hi Bid user for less than 6 months, will be required to electronically send a photo of their government issued ID as proof of person. Failure to do so will disqualify you from participating in the auction.
Auction Terms and Conditions: All items are sold AS IS with no guarantees, warranties, or representations expressed or implied. Not responsible for errors, omissions, or accidents. All sales are final. Please inspect the item and ask questions before you bid. Announcements day of sale take precedent over printed and digital materials. By submitting a bid, you understand that your bid is a binding contract between you and Ales Auction Services. You further agree to pay all fees associated with the purchase price (if applicable). For internet based auctions only, we reserve the right to cancel or reopen the auction in the event of a system failure.
Firearms: A 15.00 processing fee is added to all firearms purchases. Firearms are in the custody of the licensed dealer and are only available for inspection during the scheduled preview times. Any shipment of firearms must be made to another licensed dealer of the buyer's choice. Successful bidder is the responsible person for background check and retrieval of firearm. Waiting period will commence once background check is submitted.
Payment: Payment is due within 48 hrs from the close of the auction. We accept cash, local checks, and credit/ debit cards. ALL BUYERS WHO WANT SHIPPING MUST CALL US WITH CARD INFORMATION. We do not have card in file because we do not require a card to register. If the buyer is unknown to Ales Auction Services, we reserve the right to hold your items until the check clears, unless you provide a guaranteed funds letter from your banking institution. All internet purchases in excess of $1,000.00 must be made via wire transfer. Transfer fee is $10.00. A 5% fee is added to all credit card charges when the card is not present. If card is present, fee is 4%. No chargebacks are accepted. Bidders who chargeback will be permanently banned from our sales. No buyer premiums!
Checkout/Pickup Dates: Sunday, October 31st 10a - 5p, and Monday November 1st 10a - 5p If you can't pickup during these times, call Auctioneer at 309/242-0617 to make arrangements. If items are not retrieved during checkout, a $5.00 storage fee will be charged per item, per day unless arraignments agreed to by the auctioneer are made, regardless if it's paid or not. We are reasonable so a phone call goes a long way to prevent problems.
Shipping: We do offer shipping on most items. If the description states "Shipping Available". We will ship. If it does not, we don't. Call if you are unsure. Shipping is exact cost USPS Priority Mail plus 10.00 handling. Buyer must request insurance if wanted. Auctioneer is not responsible for loss or damaged packages once they are in the possession of the carrier. ALL BUYERS WHO WANT SHIPPING MUST CALL US WITH CARD INFORMATION. We do not have card in file because we do not require a card to register.
Failure to Pay: Failure to retrieve and pay for your items after November 4th will result in your forfeiture or claim on said items, and these items will be resold. You will be further banned from participating in any of our auctions, either live or online, and you further agree to reimburse Ales Auction Services for any costs associated with your failure to pay or retrieve.
